Today has been a day of watching the weather channel and hunkering down in the bathroom with my 3 children while my husband was away at work. We had some very bad storms move across Northeast Alabama where we live. I guess it was between 3:30pm and 4:00pm when the worst part of the storm moved across. This storm system produced damaging wind, hail and tornadoes all across the south this afternoon claiming the lives of some and injuring several others throughout the day. I was standing in the living room watching the weather when they announced that a tornado had touched down. Our home and us was in it's path. My girls and I once again hunkered down in the bathroom. There are no windows in our bathroom but we could hear the large hail beating the house and heard the loud sounds of the wind. I immediately started praying to God for his hand of protection over us and our home. My girls were crying and then they started to pray with me. My littlest daughter was so scared her nose started to bleed. I then started praising God for his protection and started commanding Satan to leave us alone. Within a few seconds later, it was over. We came out of the bathroom and the sun came out. My littlest one looked outside and said "mommy, snow". But it wasn't snow. The ground was covered with golf ball size hail. We made through the STORM with God right there with us the whole time. All we had to do was call out to him and Praise him. I also learned today that our teachings we have imparted into our children have worked. They sat right there with me and prayed and praised the Lord.
My reason for sharing this event of my life with you is this: There will be many storms come into your life. Some that will seem so unbearable to face and make it through. Sometimes it will even seem like God is not with you but he will never leave you or forsake you. All you have to do is call upon his Holy Name and Praise Him. He will see you through. You may have to go through alot of trials and tribulations to get to the point where the sun is shining again but as long as you don't let go of God's hand, you WILL make it. My family and I have gone through alot and still going through alot. But we still Praise him. Give it a try, the "SON" will start shining upon your situation to help see you "THROUGH THE STORM".

On a boat with Jesus through a storm:
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. Mark 4:37
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? Mark 4:38
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Mark 4:40
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Mark 4:41
