God Created Us To Praise Him


Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed intruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150

150:1 PRAISE - To praise God is to acknowledge the glories of His excellent person.



Here are some facts about praise:


1) God alone is worthy of our praise! --- Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. ---- Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.

2) It is his will for us that we praise Him! ---- Psalm 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. ---- Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

3) This praise should be continuous! ---- Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. --- Psalm 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be contiually of thee.

4) This praise should be public! ---- Psalm 22:25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

5) We are to praise God for his holiness! ---- 2 Chronicles 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever.

6) We are to praise God for his grace! ---- Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us acceptable in the beloved.

7) We are to praise God for his goodness! ---- Psalm 135:3 Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

8) We are to praise God for his kindness! ---- Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

9) All nature and creation praises God! ---- Psalm 148:7-14 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye sea monsters, and all deeps: Fire and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word: Mountains, and all hills; fruitfull trees, and all cedars: Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him, Praise ye the Lord.

10) The sun, moon, and stars praise God! --- Psalm 148:3-6 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

11) The angels praise God! ---- Psalm 148:1-2 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. ---- Psalm 103:19-22 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his sovereignty: bless the Lord, O my soul.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you now in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Lord I praise your Holy name, You are almighty and powerful. Lord I pray that you here my praise and all the praise of your people and your earth and all creation. Lord, I pray against anything that would cause a distraction to praise you for you are Holy and are worthy of all my praise and all the praise of your creation. Lord, keep the praise that you so deserve every minute of every day on my lips and in my breath. I love you Lord and give you all of my glory, honor and praise. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
