Thy Holy Word of God is the light that shines your way.
You should breathe it in from day to day.
It's food for your soul and your power within.
To shine for Jesus who died for your sin.
Thy word helps you die to your sin and helps you grow.
More like Christ so the world will know.
That you live for Jesus and illuminate his light.
By the power of the Holy Spirit both day and night.
Thy word leaves no room for darkness, so you're not afraid.
You're covered by Jesus's blood because of the price he paid.
So let the light of Jesus shine within your heart.
By feeding it thy word until from this world you depart.
